Strongly influenced by a love of the sea Paint the Sand is an alternative pop based project that thrives off adventure and aims to create a sense of escape through its sound. The heart of the project comes from a strong hybrid of both music and surfing and can easily be recognized through its prominent use of reverb.

2014 has been a year dedicated to living an adventure and having fun with it. Throughout the year the Paint the Sand sound has changed from a folk pop genre to a washed out alternative pop sound. With this development of the project December 2014 see’s the release of a sonically new sounding four track EP, “Embers.” The EP is built around the idea of relighting the fire and finding new ways to keep it lit.

“This new season and new sound is exciting because it opens up new doors and new ways of sharing this creative outlet.” – Paint the Sand.
